• How much!

So the weather continues it's inevitable wet progress through what passes for a summer, and the Oak film is now on hold. All the preproduction has been an invaluable process as I have really got to grips with the rig and HDRSoft workflows. I also heard back from the MoD regarding filming on one of their sites only to be told that for a filming license I would be asked to part with £800 per day! Why is this country so obsessed with making as much money as possible at the slightest opportunity? This kind of thing really discourages small film-making. That didnt include the £1m insurance they wanted me to have - it's me and a DSLR - not a full crew and Hollywood 'A' listers.

At least in Russia you can film for free. So its off to there that I go with camera in hand...
